Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride! - Unknown

Merry Christmas 2008

I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas with their families and loved ones. As most of my friends know, my mom underwent quintuple bypass surgery on the 16 December after experiencing 2 heartattacks. She is still hosptialized at the Washington Hospital Center but we are hoping that she is released and able to go to a rehabilitation center by 2009. I want to thank everyone for their prayers, kind thoughts, and concern for all of us during this time. I am going to be going over to the hospital later today and spending time with her. She does have a Christmas tree that I bought to her earlier this week and we are planning a HUGE family Christmas celebration when she is home and feeling better.

Here is my picture I had taken of the kids with Santa yesterday morning. We lucked out and walked into the mall first thing in the morning and right into his workshop.

Merry Christmas!
