Here we go again.......

Okay. I know I just finished up LK's 12 Blessings of Christmas last month after driving myself crazy because I had let it become a UFO at one point and couldn't wait to finish it up........ BUT, I decided it was time to start another flip-it which has been in my stash for a while. So, I went to the Stitching Post with Kim W. last week and picked out 32 count Bay Rum and pulled out the needed GAST and Weeks threads to get started. I am going to try to complete one of the flip-its each month while working on other pieces in my rotation so I don't burn out on this piece hopefully. The project is the original 2004 Lizzie Kate Monthly Flip-its and I am hoping to finish up January by the 31st. Wish me luck.

I also have been stitching on Trail Creek Farm's America which is really a mindless stitch after you figured out the count on the first few lines of the flag. In fact, I have been working on this piece when waiting for appointments, visiting Mom at the rehab center, lunch time at work and other situations because I'm not having to continuously keep a count on my stitching.

Of course, there is the 2009 Christmas challenge. I decided to start another ornament which I hope to finish up in January as well. This ornament of Santa skating is from Ursela Michaels and should really turn out cute. The colors are vibrant and the detail in the stitched piece should make a wonderful show when stitched up.

My goal this year is to try and make monthly stitching goals to work towards and so here is January's list of stitching goals.....
  1. Complete Trail Creek Farms America
  2. Stitch January Stamp Flip-it by Lizzie Kate
  3. Complete Skating Santa ornament by Ursela Michaels
  4. Work on Dance of the Roses (my BAP which I want to finish sometime in 2009)
  5. Start grid lines for Blue Ribbon Design Small Trees and Gifts for Thee which is a SAL for the group, Stitch it Quick.

Will post pictures at least once a week this year unless I complete something and then I'll post a finishing post at once. Wish me luck!
